Hello and welcome to the Internet Retailer Blog. Here you will find information for Internet Retailers, also known as ecommerce and selling online. For the last few years I have been the lead developer and SEO expert for the Internet Retail Company that I work for. We are a Microsoft shop running Windows 2003 servers, ASP.NET 2005, SQL 2000. Most of the techniques listed in this blog are not specific to the technologies used. In fact many of the techniques I use were initially developed and used with earlier languages such as CGI/Perl or the ever popular LAMP (Linux, Appache, MySQL, PHP).
You will find that my articles are in depth, practical, and relevant to Internet Retailers. I also write from experience, the tips and techniques I write about are ones we use day to day to maintain fast and reliable websites that maintain 10,000 concurrent sessions on average. Additionally I will explain solid SEO techniques that will work for any retailer. If you find a post on this blog valuable, signup for the newsletter or RSS feed to get the latest copies as they are released.
